GBVDB.com 20th Anniversary

Congrats to the winners of the 11/3 giveaways: Kyle (GBV Facebook Group 1st winner), Philip (GBV Facebook Group 2nd winner), Bill (GBVDB.com giveaway), Joe (Disarm The Settlers giveaway) and Andrew Postal Blowfish (giveaway).

This website was launched on 11/3/2003. To put that in perspective:
  • GBV hadn't yet broken up yet for the first time (the "final" show was 12/31/2004 and GBV became active again in 2010)
  • GBV has released TWENTY THREE albums since then, with another one coming November, 2023: Nowhere To Go But Up.
  • Robert Pollard has released TWENTY solo albums since then.
  • The Fading Captain Series label was still going strong.
  • The following side projects did not yet exist: Boston Spaceships, Cash Rivers & The Sinners, Carbon Whales, Cosmos, Cub Scout Bowling Pins, ESP Ohio, Keene Brothers, Mars Classroom, The Moping Swans, Psycho And The Birds, Ricked Wicky, Teenage Guitar, The Sunflower Logic, The Takeovers
  • Circus Devils only had 3 albums. Now they have 15, including their latest Squeeze The Needle.
  • None of the volumes of Robert Pollard's EAT Magazine had been released. Now there are 18 released, with another 19th coming in November, 2023.
